Glorious #1 Lyrics

all alone in the traffic
all sense that the game is long gone
mouth twisted up lips like chrome
tires spinning you'll get anything you want

we don't have to be lovers
we don't have to be friends for no one
black souls in the desert
head spinning you'll get anything you want

back down to the glorious #1
my prints all over the smokin' gun
back down to the glorious #1
all lines to the living are now undone
back down to the glorious #1

her fingers felt like a fire
her skin shifted her words were so clear
left a burning desire
one flash will get you anything you want

back down to the glorious #1
my prints all over the smokin' gun
back down to the glorious #1
all lines to the living are now undone
back down to the glorious number
the glorious #1

i'm back down to the glorious #1
my prints all over the smokin' gun
back down to the glorious #1
all lines to the living are now undone
back down to the glorious
it's back down to the glorious number
i'm back down to the glorious number
the glorious number
the glorious #1

awesome song. anyone know what it means though?

The kind of message I got after hearing it was that for the "#1" part, I pictured a police suspect lineup, and if you have ever seen one on TV, you know that they call suspects by numbers. Then the "prints all over the smoking gun" kind of connect with the criminal thing...

Just my two cents.

I took it as a song about ending a relationship, hence back down to the Glorious #1. I think Knolly may have something with the imagery which makes it sound like a murder and getaway type scenario, but I think it's more of a metaphor for killing off the relationship and getting away to being single again rather than a literal story.
