i love the distillers. i think it is about bitches who use their money and power thinking it'll get them ahead, when really it just makes them look like rich skanks. everybody know that yeah, that one part is about courtney love of hole using kurt's tragic death to promote HER and HER shit.
Dwell, Courtney Love is AWESOME and you just don't like her because she's a loud and smart woman that intimidates you. Besides, Brody is most definitely influenced by her since her voice is JUST like courtney's. Anyway i doubt this song has anything to do with courtney love.
...wow, thanks to whoever provided the courtney love theory! and to phoebe. courtney exploited the death of her husband to get recognition, not only that she's still battling with the band to get the royalties, which isn't right. and just because brody's voice sound similar to courtney love's doesn't mean she's influenced by her, it may just be her real voice, people sound like other people, it happens. i have a lot more respect for brody than i ever will have for courtney.
You people need to get over this whole 'Courtney killed Kurt' theory. The guy attempted suicide a handful of times, he was bound to succeed. And if Krist and Dave have let it rest then so should we (gotta admit they knew Kurt and his relationship better than any of us).
As for the Distillers they totally rock. They are one of those great bands who have managed to get mainstream airplay while still maintaining a hardcore edge. I love them.

what the fuck is everyone on about with the courtney love thing?wat a pile of shit that doesnt even link with the lyrics especially the chorus. Its more likely about how when she moved to LA from australia, and saying how it brings you down etc. a bad city, whatever. and saying 'im not red white or blue' is obviously about the american flag, saying shes not fucking american her heritage is australian. same meaning applies to the song city of angels, saying how its all lies what you here and nothings what it seems, the idea of LA is sugrcoated with celebrities, etv etc etc.
