Wishful Sinful Lyrics
Wishful crystal
Water covers everything in blue
Coolin' water
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Magic risin'
Sun is shinin' deep beneath the sea
But not enough for you and me and sunshine
Love to hear the wind cry
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Love to hear the wind cry
Love to hear you cry, yeah, yeah
Water covers everything in blue
Coolin' water
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Magic risin'
Sun is shinin' deep beneath the sea
But not enough for you and me and sunshine
Love to hear the wind cry
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Love to hear the wind cry
Love to hear you cry, yeah, yeah

I will get down to basics. Wishful Sinful is about Creation and the destruction of the earth at the time of Noah by the Flood. When God made the heavens and the earth, as described in Genesis 1, He created water and matter. The Creation before the Fall of Adam and Eve displayed a pure love between God and the human race: this is the wishful crystal. Wishful sinful is the condition of the relationship between God and the human race after the Fall. Men and women are inherently sinful. "Water covers everything in blue" refers to the destruction of the earth at the time of Noah. "Can't escape the blue" means that the human race cannot escape destruction because of its rebellion against God. "I know where I would like to be right back where I came" refers to the sinless relationship between God and the human race. "Our love is beautiful see" is also about the sinless relationship between God and the human race. I believe Robbie Krieger wrote the lyrics to this song. "Magic rising" is the alternative to a pure relationship with God. However, "magic rising" is not enough for men and women, who need God. Unlike Jim Morrison, Robbie thought about things other than sex, drugs, death, and alcohol.

Robby wrote this one....
Sure, Jim may have not been ever so happy about singing it, granted, but that doesn't deter the beautiful, "crystal" sound the song has.
I do agree, it's positively beautiful.
"Wishful, sinful, wicked you Can't escape the blue"
I think he's using the beauty of the planet as a metephor for the beauty of their love
This song is clearly about planet earth. "Water covers everything in blue"
Wishful Sinful describes the people of earth, hopeful yet sinful in their actions. "Wishful, sinful, wicked blue Water covers you Earth Wishful, sinful, wicked you Eveybody is wicked Can't escape the blue"
Environmental? Political? Hard to tell, mabye thats why Jim didn't like it appearently.

A man wants to have sex with his woman. Wants to go back where he came from, vagina.
Magic risin' ... his penis is rising
Can't escape the blue ... the girl is frightened.she is a virgin.
Love to hear you cry ... she is a woman now. couple entered a new place in their relationship.
@Olegos Sex with what woman? When he says, "right back where I came", I don't think he means just any vagina - think Oedipus. Perhaps the water is a metaphor for the womb? Doors lyrics often had Oedipal references. That's how I always heard it, and it does have a sorta lascivious tone to the singing. But who knows? It's not clear enough for any interpretation.

I think this song is absolutely beautiful even if he didn't like it...sounds to me like just your typical psychedelic brew of drugs and sex....but still gorgeous Jim is a god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
