Alright.. here's my view on Mushroomhead.. not just this song. I haven't been listening to them for all too long, but for about the past year they have been my musical obsession... nearly all I listen to.

From what I can tell, at the beginning they're actually saying "pray for me, I'll bleed for you" and since I've seen nothing about it on the actual mushroomhead official sites/lyrics, I'm not going to be persuaded otherwise. It seems to me that everyone thinks Mushroomhead laughs at the idea of religion (and well.. they do state it in Bwomp, I think there's a little more to it than that). After looking at a few of the songs that mention religion, it seems to me that he/they don't think it's stupid-- just have no reason to believe, though they really would like to have something to believe in, for whatever reason..

The way I see it.. He WANTS to believe, but can't find it in himself to do so. This goes back to my ideas about the beginning of bwomp. He wants someone ELSE to pray for him, because he cannot pray for himself, and in return for the prayer, his own blood... a sacrifice of sort, like saying "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"

Look at "laughed at religion long ago, doubt I'll be an angel when I die"... if someone was a firm believer in nothing, as most people probably think of Mushroomhead.. he would say I won't, I will not.. not I doubt I will. Plus I think mushroomhead puts a little too much into their music to simply bash on religion without a purpose.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I hope you can all see where I'm going with this.

grr... politics and a hint of religion, Mushroomhead believes in good morales and stuff, but not the "jesus" way...

Let me break this all down...

The word bwomp is an adjective for getting drunk ("dude, let's get bwomped tonite!") In the begining j-mann says:

Got to get together got to get with the game plan/Defeat the Dealer that Dealt this hand/I don't understand why the kids are killing kids/when the only one that benefits is the big wigs./They're using death as a diversion on Capitol Hill/Hands in the Cookie Jar far from the Blood Spill/They want more power so they're trying to pass bills/To further exploit and contribute to the Landfill.

obviously about the government, and he states one of the main points in the song... The govenrment is screwing us, basically...( see where I define the word bwomp...)

Then jeffery pretty much is saying were losing ourselves as humans in our culture, it's destroying us, and we need to stop believeing the government(our old ways arent working anymore, seperate the users, from the whores) the government are the users, were the whores, and the old ways is our democracy and how it was set up, what were leaving behind, is killing us(were piling it to high) and were not doing anything about(talk not saying anything).

J-mann is pretty much saying in the first few lines of his rap is that all this morale wrong doing isnt helping us out either(it also has something to do with what jeffery says later in the song) and he is pretty much saying, drugs, young-age sex(not nessicarily pre-marital), and the "ego" your expected to have in society, is helping us to fail as a society. Then the next line is saying, you know I'm right, so let's do something about it, and all the rest is pretty much self explanatory...

Then he says" twist the 4-5 cap and understand that if it was up to me I'd free charles manson". As I stated before, wist the 4-5 cap is a way of saying get loose, or drink alcohol, get drunk. In the context he uses it means to "think outside the box, to understand that if it was up to me I'd free charles manson" What he says here is saying He'd rather see us get the people who are really destroying the country, rather than your average maniacs, because they arent killing our society, and thousands if not, hundreds of people.

Then the last differing verse is: "What Do We Have To Hope For Why Do We Even Try Laughed At Religion Long Ago I Doubt I'll Be An Angel When I Die"

He is saying no one is listening to what they are saying, so why do they try?, that's self explainatory...

For the angel part, he is trying to spread a good word, and he can see the points in certain religious text, but he "laughed at them long ago" and even though the endorses some of the beliefs he, "doubts I'll be an angel when I die"

I think this covers all of it...

Im pretty sure that it is about Charles Manson. When his followers would sneak into a house at night and rearrange the furniture, he called it The Creepy Crawl. Also there is the line that specifically mentions him. I Don't Understand Why The Kids Are Killing Kids When The Only One's That Benefit Are The Big Whigs- This line also suggests alot of Manson's theories. and the other obvious line is the one about destroying the world while we sleep at night. It is just talking about his murders which took place at night. Also seperating the users from the whores may have something to do with his helter skelter theory.

To me this song means, i guesa you can say that a guy is being controlled by someone. and they dont understand how hard his life is.
