Corrina Lyrics

Hog of a Sunday
Dog of a Monday
Get it back someday
What'd I say?
Movin' in close
Cut from a long shot
Fade on a downbeat
Ready or not ready or not
Chorus:
Corrina, Wake it up baby
Corrina, Shake it on down
Corrina, Corrina
Cruise through a stop sign
Loggin' up short time
Bird on a phone line
Soakin' up the Sun
Salt on a crowtail
What can I do?
I'm down by law
But I'm true to you true to you
Chorus:
If, what, where and when
Told at the proper time
Big black wings beat on the wind
But they don't hardly climb
There's a silver ocean
Silver clouds and silver sea
A bird on the horizon
Silver wingin' back to me
Chorus:
Wake it up baby
Shake it down easy
Bring it back someday
What'd I say?
Movin' in closer
Cut from a long shot
Fade on a downbeat
Ready or not ready or not
Corrina-Wake it up baby
Corrina-Shake it down easy
Corrina-Shake it up now
Corrina-Shake it back down
If, what, where, when and how
No it don't mean a thing to me
I would love you even if
you flew away from me
I'll just stand here waiting
on the far side of the sea
There is no fear that lovers born
will ever fail to meet
Chorus:

Wow. Good Question. I came here looking for help on the meaning and figure it means something personal to Weir & Barlow. I may be wrong about about that. Actually I think it is a Hunter/Weir tune for some reason. The song is pretty much self-explanitory - Two lovers that go in different directions and the pain that comes with losing somebody you love. I feel a long distance relationship in there but it does lose me at the beginning with the quick vocal bursts. The two choruses at the end are nice poetically and has interesting imagery - soulmates, birds, living on the far side of the sea, winging back to me (lots of bird imagery - maybe intended as a foundation for Bobby's "bird calls"), I do not have the lyrics in front of me and am on an iPhone. It's not a song I've memorized but am interested as I dated a woman (from another country I lived in for awhile) named guess what? and all the synchronicity that flows through my world I want to know more about the song. Please add your own input! Cheers.

I think this song is a lonely wolf howling at the moon.
