American Gigolo (Demo) Lyrics
sit down
quiet everybody
we got a long way to go
i told you once before
but you better not stop the show
keep on keep on keep on keep on
keep on keep on keep on
yeah
if you want it
you can have it
bring your bees wax
you can grab it
yeah
sugar
yeah yeah
sugar
sit down
quiet everybody
we got a lot of things to say
i told you once before
but you better not take it from me
keep on keep on keep on keep on
keep on keep on keep on
yeah
if you want it
you can have it
bring your bees wax
you can grab it
i've seen this game before
my love comes right to the door
there ain't no hope for you anymore
keep on keep on keep on keep on
keep on keep on keep on
yeah
if you want it
you can have it
taste your bees wax
you can grab it
i've seen this game before
my love comes right to the door
there ain't no hope for you anymore
yeah
sugar
yeah yeah
sugar
quiet everybody
we got a long way to go
i told you once before
but you better not stop the show
keep on keep on keep on keep on
keep on keep on keep on

this is probably the best song on maladroit
this has got to be the worst on maladroit, yet it still great
I don't think it's the worst. I think this is Rivers telling all of us little bitches to mind our own business (actually the lyrics that end up on the album better describe it) It seems everyone holds a gun to his head and more and says "Bleed dammit! We won't more Pinkerton"
I actually like this demo version more than the one on the album
Rivers keeps on
Perhaps a nod to the Richard Gere movie of the same name? In the movie Julian Kaye (Gere) kind of wants everybody up out of his business (male prostitution) as well. Was Rivers celibate at this point, or was he still banging groupies, because if so this song could be in the same vein as "Tired Of Sex".
