does no one besides myself just love this song? the chorus alone warrants great praise for its blatant truth. i love this song.

i downloaded a live version of this song, and the quality was really bad. but from what i could hear, it was a pretty cool song! awesome lyrics.

I've seen 'em do the song twice live, I think I was the only one who'd heard it last night in SLC. I had to check the lyrics 'cuz all I knew was "Take no prisoners" and "Storm the castle." But I think it's about a lot of these new bands cough cough crazytown cough cough who have songs that are just "I'm a jerk, but have sex with me anyways 'cuz I'm a rockstar and I don't care." I'm sure Rivers didn't write it about Crazytown 'cuz he plays guitar on one of their new songs, but that's who it made me think of.

sounds to me like Rivers is reading all the shit about him on the net or being told to him from his fans, telling him to write more songs like the ones on Blue or Pinkerton. He's saying that they're "begging him to bring it back" To Pinkerton era, when he can't, because he's not feeling the way he did when he wrote that album "To the place I couldn't keep". I think people should stop bitching about Green being no good. They say it like the band owes them something, when the band gave them so many good songs i.e. blue and pinkerton. Although I personally think maladroit has some pretty fucking sweet moments (Burnt Jamb). Awesome.

i really don't know why people don't like green or maladroit. they are both awesome. if there is a weezer song that isn't at least great, i haven't heard it, and never will, because its impossible. rivers is a genius. i love this song. there is a different verse and chorus that rivers plays once sometimes. you can get the video of it on weezer.com. it goes something like this, but i'm not positive:

These lyrics are extremely off. I hear something along the lines of:

I'm not entirely sure what he says in the second half of the first verse, but what is up there is for sure wrong, and given the context of the song, and Rivers' life, this is probably more correct...
