Ooh
If travel is searching
And home what's been found
I'm not stopping
I'm going hunting
I'm the hunter
I'll bring back the goods
But I don't know when
I thought I could organize freedom
How Scandinavian of me
En-cha-le-li
En-cha-le
You sussed it out, didn't you?
Yeah!
You could smell it
So you left me on my own
To complete the mission
Now I'm leaving it all behind
I'm going hunting
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm going hunting
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm the hunter
Ooh
If travel is searching
And home what's been found
I'm going hunting
I'm the hunter
I'll bring back the goods
But I don't know when
How Scandinavian of me
En-cha-le
You sussed it out, didn't you?
Yeah!
So you left me on my own
To complete the mission
Now I'm leaving it all behind
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm going hunting
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm the hunter, I'm the hunter
I'm the hunter
Ooh

i love this song. yeah, BJÖRK said herself,
"I guess that song's about when you have a lot of people that work for you and you sort-of have to write songs or people get unemployed, you know? In most cases, it's inspiring but in that particular song I was pissed off with it. I was ready for a break but it didn't seem fair on the people I worked with at the time."
yeah, so it's kind of like the creative process of songwriting. awesome BJÖRK.

go there. learn. yeah.
I first heard this song at 5:00 in the morning...in the middle of winter...and it fit perfectly. Her voice brings chills; the entire song gives off such a cold feeling. Love the verse "You could smell it, so you left me on my own, to complete the mission, now I'm leaving it all behind..."
This is my power song. I use it to help me keep fighting and find out more about what is really going on. Its like hunting for the truth, i am like a soldier fighting for freedom.
i love this song just because of the line. 'i thought i could organise freedom'.
I think this song is about someone abandoning you when you need them the most. Also, when she sings it live, she adds the line "You just didn't know me!" at the end. I know that this is what that fan said in the video he made of him killing himself after mailing Bjork the bomb.
i love this song, every lyric makes more and more sense as the song goes on. i especially love to drive to this song, by myself, or with someone with the same appreciation - it makes me happy. "now i'm leaving it all behind..."
its a really haunting song, what is this about someone mailing bjork a bomb? i love her becuase she is so original thisis a great song, i love every part of it i think its about being independant
An amazing song. It's about relying on someone, then them abandoning you, then you realising you can get by on your own. The "I thought I could organise freedom/How Scandanavian of me!" line is sarcastically brilliant, and the "You just didn't know me!" line she adds when it's live sends shivers down the spine.
I heard this song was about her being a "hunter, hunting for love" but also she said it was about "writing a song about knowing that if you didnt write a song a billion people would be fired because of it"
The second song of Bjork I've heard. It's so haunting and the "I thought I could oranize freedom/How Scandanavian of me" line is one of my favorite lyrical lines ever.
