Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm
Ah
Ah

This is it
It's time for you to go to the wire
You will hit
'Cause you got the burnin' desire
It's your time (time)
You got the horn so why don't you blow it
You are fine (fine)
You're filthy cute and baby you know it

Ooh

Cream
Get on top
Cream
You will cop
Cream
Don't you stop
Cream
Sha boogie bop

You're so good
Baby there ain't nobody better (ain't nobody better)
So you should
Never, ever go by the letter (never ever)
You're so cool (cool)
Everything you do is success (mmhmm)
Ooh, make the rules (rules)
Then break them all 'cause you are the best (mmhmm)

Yes you are

Cream
Get on top
Cream
You will cop
Cream
Don't you stop
Cream
Sha boogie bop

Look up in the air, it's your guitar

Ah, ah, ah

Do your dance
Why should you wait any longer?
Take a chance
It could only make ya stronger
It's your time (it's your time)
You got the horn so why don't you blow it (go on and blow it)
You're so fine (you're so fine)
You're filthy cute and baby you know it (you know it)
Come on

Cream
Get on top
Cream
You will cop
Cream
Don't you ever stop
Cream
Sha boogie bop

Cream
Cream
Cream
Sha boogie bop

Cream
Cream
Right there
Cream
Don't you stop
Cream
Sha boogie bop

Sha boogie

Ah
haha ah

Cream, sha boogie

One of the first song's written for the Diamond's and Pearls album, this song is supposedly a love letter Prince wrote to himself. In a marketplace that was beginning to cast him off as irrelevant, Prince took a look in the mirror and wrote the words to this song. I think its one of THEE most inspirational tunes he's ever written. Diamonds and Pearls went on to be an artistic AND commerical success!! You go, boy!!

Anyone who thinks Prince is gay hasn't paid any attention whatsoever to his career - or, for that matter, his wife.

Prince has an androgynous quality to him, he is most certainly not gay. He's all about the ladies. Prince rocks too hard for words.

Prince is not gay. He is just not afraid of being himself. He is a genius.

"Filthy cute" is a compliment; I love the line in the song. She makes the rules (about sex) and then breaks them, so I'm guessing he likes that she adds excitement to their activities. It's such a sexy song. Even the title (Cream) adds to the allure...even though it's about his bodily fluid, it comes across sounding like something sweet and delicious. (Perhaps "comes" was a poor choice of wording:) Anyway, it's a GREAT song.

His best song. "Filthy cute" is such a compliment....and a turn on. If only Prince would trust his fans and allow this videos to be available on the net. Very sad when an artist chooses to deprive his fans of his many talents...

Prince had been at the top of his field for a long time when he wrote this song. He wrote it as a note to himself that now is the time to keep it going to stay on top. Have you heard the phrase "tooting your own horn" He says "You have the horn so why don't you blow it" The cream is a reference of "Cream of the crop" the word "cop" means to "obtain" Hw wants to obtain his place back on top where he had been for so long. Prince himself actually said that he wrote this song while he was looking in the mirror. There is a clip of him while playing an acoustic version, he stopped and said kind of jokingly "You know I was looking in the mirror when I wrote this song" the audience laughed and then he said "No, seriously, I did!" This song makes so much more sense when you know this, and it has become one of my favorites. We all need positive affirmations!
