Maybe this was about the Apartheid in South Africa. Phrases such as "shebeen" and "meat rack" sound like they aret alking about the Apartheid. I don't really know, the rest doesn't point to much.
it sounds like a song about just getting really drunk. cool confusion, falling off buildings, kung fu in a car park, being swept out of a room with bottles. But there's something else there too with glue bag deaths and what not. a good song though with a real pronounced rythym guitar.
according to joe strummer in the clash on broadway booklet, "i started to notice that stars with big egos would always swan into places, make an appearance, and swan out again, whenever we went out, we'd always be in a place for the duration".
im assuming the song has somehting to do wih that.
I think the meaning of this song is simply like the title indicates: it's a cool confusion. Cool guitar line, and really good song in general.
