Crash Burn Lyrics

I'm gonna ride you
Gonna ride you out like a witch on a broom
I'm gonna ride you
Gonna ride you out like a witch on a broom

It's the old give and take
And I've been took again
So give me room

I'm gonna watch you
Gonna watch you fall like a tower of cards
I'm gonna watch you
Gonna watch you fall like a tower of cards

Gonna land gonna land gonna land gonna land
No matter how hard

Crash
Burn
When will I learn
Crash
Burn
When will I learn

Crash
Burn
When will I learn
Crash
Burn
When will I learn

After listening to this song countless times, and enjoying the earsplitting scream of Popper's harmonica every time I did, I've come to the conlcusion that this song is about sex.

if you ride something out, you endure it until its over. he wants to watch someone fall (fail to thrive or advance we'd assume) "crash burn when will i learn"-whoever he wants to see fail either hasnt , or the narrator himself ended with the fate he wished on the other person

Seems like a competition, where they're both battling hard against each other, and it's not sure who's gonna win. They're both gonna put everything out there, and at least the narrator is willing to fall flat on his ass, even if it means he loses.

And that's funny, too, considering the nature of the song. Popper's vocals are really just the backing for what is a searing jam rock track: solos between the verses alternate from the harmonica to the guitar to the bass, Popper, Kinchla, and Sheehan all showing, respectively, that they're all amazing at their instruments. They're competing against each other, too, and each of them throws some crazy solos down.

Great, great song for an incredibly underrated band.
