I heard it was about ex Playboy model Dorothy Stratten who was murdered by her abusive ex boyfriend. I had the misfortune of watching a movie based on it starring a young Jamie Lee Curtis, & it seems to go well with that theory. Also, "I'll burn before I mellow" Gwen's at it again, seemingly dissecting Bush lyrics & taking them too personally. Not all songs have to be about the person writing them, Gwen :P "You say you're gonna burn before you mellow, I'll be the one to burn you".
dude this is such a creepy song and i love it. its really cool. Every one of their Cd's has a mood and i think that this song sums up the mood of this cd. Its creepy, different and just has this aura that i cannot explain about it. its awesome.

Not sure what the song's about, but the idea that there's 'car crash weather' just tickles me.
It makes me think of a scientist who creates multiple prototypes for some sort of artificial human, and keeps killing them when they "fail" in some way.
The "Dorothy died for your pleasure" line always did remind me of Dorothy Stratten, too. XD
Ok, I am a Bush and No Doubt fan; odd as that may be. I honestly don't know if he is referring to Gwen when he says"first you'll crash and then you'll burn" and "i"ll burn before I mellow", however, it was kinda cool on storytellers when she said"those lyrics always gotto me , so I turned them around." b$ introducing ex-girlfriend(no doubt's version). I think the coolest part is they r 1 of the only famous couples still married with 2 adorable boys after all the drama! Go gwen and Gavin!!!
