Don't Talk Like Lyrics
Don't talk like
Like you're nineteen
You're thirty-five
If you're a day don't act like
Like you're nineteen
Everyone is waiting
Haven't I done enough today
Haven't I done enough this time
Haven't I done enough today
Haven't I done enough
Don't stop here she said
Don't say that
A part of me is dead
Numb just like a
Fallen limb
Like what you left behind
There's a part of me
That works just like a child
There's a part of me
That's you
Like you're nineteen
You're thirty-five
If you're a day don't act like
Like you're nineteen
Everyone is waiting
Haven't I done enough this time
Haven't I done enough
Don't say that
A part of me is dead
Numb just like a
Fallen limb
Like what you left behind
That works just like a child
There's a part of me
That's you
I love this song so much...I like how there are words in here that no other song has...It reminds me of how once I tried to make up a song about a refridgerator because everything lacks creativity these days..
I love this song, and whenever I hear "Don't talk like Like you're nineteen You're thirty-five"
I cant help but think of my aunt, she's 50 and is still trying to be that popular girl that everyone knows.
But my friend interprets that line as "Grow up already"
I think this song is about dealing with a friend who isn't really meeting your expectations for maturity, and being a bit annoyed at them. Basically, this song is an internal debate about trying to tell someone that you don't want to be friends with someone so immature.
