A Real Man Lyrics

Don't you wanna feel it inside
They say that it feels so nice
All girls should have
A real man
Should I buy it? I don't wanna
I don't wanna join your club
I don't want your kind of love

If you had it in your thighs
You'll see that it feels so nice
"You wait, you'll cum every time"
I'm not that dumb
I don't wanna

In response to the "Let's Call It Love Comment"...I don't think it's hard to believe these two songs come from the same band. 'A real man' isn't about hating "sex" it's about being unsatisfied with sex with MEN. Or, at least, with some men. I'm sure almost every woman has at some point had an experience that would let them relate to this song ( I know I sure have). "Let's call it love" is more about enjoying sex and passion (when it's good). The two songs show the range of how the writers have experienced sex. It's what makes s-k such a great band. Seriously though, this song (this whole album actually) completely changed my life. When I first heard it, I thought about the guy I was currently dating and was just like...Holy Crap!

I don't think it's about rape. Some men have it in their heads that lesbians just need a 'real man', and once they do it with a real man they'll be 'cured'. Which doesn't happen because lesbians DON'T like men. Seems like that's what it's about to me anyway.

I think it is about the pressure women get to have sex. The pressure put on them by any guy, be it boyfriend or just some guy at a party, especially the ones who prey on girls they know are virgins. At least, that's what I think because I heard this song in middle school and I could REALLY relate.

and your shrill scream cuts the silence of the dark night - "RAPE!!"

Yeah deffo agreeing with the pressure put on girls to have sex, although to me it seems like it's actually other girls who are putting the pressure on., rather than guys, but I guess it could be either.

I think it's odd though that people who can put this much hate in to a song can write 'Let's Call it Love'

Good point snoop. Corin was 10 years older and more mature when she wrote "Let's Call it Love." Back when she wrote this, she was a real riot girl, which carries with it fierce feminism. In the time of The Woods, she was married with a young child. Her views of sex with men no doubt changed in those ten years. By the way, side question: Is it fair to assume because she sung it primarily, she wrote it also? I don't really know how it worked in S-K, though I've heard Corin and Carrie both wrote songs.

From interviews I've seen and stuff, Carrie does alot of the writing but sometimes Corin sings it. They all write the songs though.
