She's A Rainbow Lyrics
She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
Have you seen her dressed in blue?
See the sky in front of you
And her face is lik a sail
Speck of white so fair and pale
Have you seen a lady fairer?
She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
Have you seen her all in gold?
Like a queen in days of old
She shoots her colors all around
Like a sunset going down
Have you seen a lady fairer?
She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors
See the sky in front of you
And her face is lik a sail
Speck of white so fair and pale
Have you seen a lady fairer?

I really want this song to be about sex on LSD.

i think this song is about the earth. the way the lyrics say "have u seen her dressed in blue? See the sky in front of you?" I absolutly adore this song
I llllove this psycheldic album and song. I think it's some hot chick, but what's really going on is the guy seeing her is tripping his brains out.
The strings is this song were arranged by John Paul Jones (the bassist for Led Zeppelin). That's pretty cool. =)
@mnkyonastick Interesting. What is your source? I became interested in this subject after watching the excellent documentary, "The Wrecking Crew." Pretty cool indeed. Thanks.

Can't help to think there is sexual undertones in this song given all the previous stuff by them at this point in their career. Never really did the cutesy pop happy shit that this song sounds like...incredibly cool tune with great strings arranged by JPJ who was definately a mastermind of Zep! Just think Mick is too wicked to lay down such in your face obvious lyrics of prettiness, beauty, loveliness, etc...maybe I am being too cynical lol!
I think this songe is pretty much about a girl who is really beautiful, someone who is really full of life and enjoys everything around her.
This song always makes me happier
I think this song is about a woman. I think the refrences to the sky and the earth are to compare her to the beauty found in nature. Not vice versa.
I think this song has some sly sexual undertones ("She comes in colors") but that might just my impression. Anyway, I love the imagery and the song itself, it has plenty of strange/psychedelic sounds in its arrangement (like the rest of the album by the way).
I think this song has several meanings at once. I think it combines the beautiful colors of nature, and the beauty of women of all colors. Considering it was originally released in 1967, that would make a lot of sense with the culture of the time
