Eclectic Electric (feat. James Hetfield & Jim Martin) Lyrics

Part I - Blinded by the Sun

Bring me back again,
I'd really rather not be out here on my own.
Someone reel me in,
I'm drifting ever farther from my home.

I remember when I was a baby
Gazing in amazement at the sky.
Sing it twinkle twinkle little baby
Daddy's gonna learn you to fly

High

Like a comment through the sky.

Bring me back again,
I'd really rather not be out here on my own.
I'm drifting with the wind,
Trying to hold the course that I've been shown.

I remember when I was a baby
Staring in amazement at the sun.
Better shield your eyes now little baby
No one ever said you were the one;
No one ever said you were the one
Who can't be blinded by the sun.
I think I'm blinded by the sun.

Part II - Sanity is Coming to Town

I like to taunt, I like to tease.
I'll bring your psyche to its knees.
Juggling.
Sanity is coming to your town.

Who gives a damn what you say,
You're pissing all your dreams away.
Juggling.
Sanity is coming to your town.

Juggling.
Sanity is coming to your,
Sanity is coming to your,
Sanity is coming to your town.

Part III - Pressing Onward Towards the Light

I remember when I was a baby
Gazing in amazement at the sky.
I remember when I was a baby
Gazing in amazement at the sky.

Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.
Pressing onward through the night.
Pressing onward towards the light.

Better shield your eyes now little baby
Better shield your eyes now little baby
Better shield your eyes now little baby
Better shield your eyes now little baby
Better shield your eyes now little baby
Better shield your eyes now little baby

Pressing onward through the night
Pressing onward towards the light

I think it's about growing up and having to live life on your own. The character is having a hard time with this, and wants to become a child again. I think that blinded by the sun means getting influenced to do bad things, wich is why the father says "better shield your eyes now little baby". "Daddy's gonna learn you to fly" simply means raising him and teaching him how to live life. I'm not really sure about the Sanity is coming to town part though.

Life. Just read it. It describes life. When you're a kid everythings much simpler (Part 1 - Blinded By the Sun). Then you become a teen or young adult and everyone's giving you shit and telling you what to do...but you're also giving people shit (Part 2 - Sanity is...). And, finally you mature and figure it all out and get through the bad times and get to happiness (Part 3 - Pressing onward...).

Petary791, I would enjoy making love to you very much. In fact, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I'm sure if we just give it a chance we can make it work.

I read somewhere that this song was an homage to Pink Floyd. is this true? I know that Les gets alot of his inspiration from floyd (seeing as they are the greatest band ever)

i could believe that this is an homage to pink floyd. its wierd, cuz the first time i heeard it all i could think is how much it showed floyd's infuence on primus. i hadn't heard that it really was an homage to them though. itcould be about syd barret. and his mental decline into reclusion and insanity.
