The Return Of Sathington Willoughby Lyrics

Fellow colleges, distinguished members of
the press, ladies and gentlemen, I would
like to take this opportunity to personally
and humbly thank each and every one of
you for joining us at this particular event.

It is my hope that we can utilize this
meeting of the minds to successfully
convey the essence of our platform to you,
a grand and noble audience.

As I look out among the faces, I reflect,
taking console in the words of Franklin
Delano Roosevelt who said, "We have
nothing to fear but fear itself".

Paranoia is a disease unto itself, and may I
add, the person standing next to you may
not be who they appear to be, so take
precaution.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, this is
true. Many a young person has fallen prey
to the substances that alter the
perspective of any right thinking individual.

The Problem with the youth today is,
because of their inexperience with the
world, they cannot attempt to grasp the
ideals set forth by myself and those who
preceded me.

But, as history has shown, they will come
around, and embrace our philosophies and
become model citizens in their own right.
God bless this great nation.

Les The pause he takes while saying the last two sets of lines is very funny, very sarcastic.

This is kind of a mix of a bunch of very generic things said in speeches combined into one to show how ridiculous politicians really are.

Part 2 of a brief skit from a previous CD. Just a song about a fictional politician. Someone of power though, who has influence, not like a governor or mayor or senator. I higher member of government who has influence over the union.

The verse that always stuck out to me was the Paranoia one, thats just fuckin hilarious.

From the last few lines and the Hallucin-Genetic versions of the original 'Sathington Willoby' I'd say it's specifically about a crap president, and how most are in a way in how they make vague speeches and rarely truly address any underlying problem directly, hinted-at/promised or not.

What are the last lines? Oh, and Heckler, I would say your name is very appropriate. There is NO fucking reason WHATSOEVER to deliberately open a song link just to post "I HATE THIS SONG!!!! EVERYONE THAT LIKES IT SUCKS!!!!!" and stupid shit like that. But I also say that it's stupid when people say "You're a stupid fag if you don't like this, bitch!" and other, equally stupid shit. But please, for the sake of this site, do not spam up songs like that. That's all.

I'm with Kiwiman, that's the best part of the song. I always laugh out loud as soon as Les says "So take precautions!"

this is "secretly" one of the most brilliantly written primus songs.

By far my favorite Primus song. Genius in a box. Killer bassline, and the lyrics are hilarious!

This song def shows how easily a politicain can rally up a crowd with a very vague speech. They made a good choice by putting a crowd chanting "Zeig Heil" at the end just before it cuts off.
