I just want to satisfy you
I would like to rectify you
Pay no attention to what you've heard
This mediocrity is so absurd.
But I won't listen to erratic advice
Don't make me ask you nice
I just want to satisfy you
I would like to contemplate you
Perhaps sometime we'll irritate you
I won't listen to sparratic advice
Don't make me ask you twice
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit x 3
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit x 6
I would like to rectify you
Pay no attention to what you've heard
This mediocrity is so absurd.
But I won't listen to erratic advice
Don't make me ask you nice
I just want to satisfy you
I would like to contemplate you
Perhaps sometime we'll irritate you
I won't listen to sparratic advice
Don't make me ask you twice
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit x 3
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit
I just want to satisfy you
Jellikit x 6

this song is the only song by Primus on the album "suck on this" that was never reproduced onto another Primus album. ever wonder why? because it was much better as a live song.
actually, it was on the Airheads Soundtrack labeled "Bastardizing Jellikit" although not as good live. I can agree with that
Yeah but Bastardizing Jellikit is at least half the speed.
That's not the only song that's been half speed; Too Many Puppies was written a LONG time ago and it was half the speed of the version on Frizzle Fry.
I actually like both versions much the same. Puppies was written in 1984, first primus song, and one of the best.
But what is it about? It could be about men that want sex but then why whould it be called jellikit, maybe jell-y meaning like a rubber dildo or somthing.
It's a pun for: "Do you like it?"
I think the song is about Primus themselves again (like Here Come The Bastards), and Les is referring to pop music in the lines, "Pay no attention to what you've heard This mediocrity is so absurd".
He wants to better educate the masses on good music, and his resolve is unrelentless: "Perhaps sometime we'll irritate you I won't listen to sparratic advice Don't make me ask you twice I just want to satisfy you"
This song is incredible on suck on this. Especially right after the drum solo! I go fucking nuts!
It's very vague and can be interpreted in different ways as with most if not all Primus songs, and may have a hidden metaphorical meaning as many do. Having said that, I agree it sounds like it's about the band and how their music may be 'love it or hate it', but it can never be called mediocre like most music can be and they are just trying to satisfy their fans in their own way, how they choose to.
I think what Les may be saying is that: there actually is a reason why we are here--- to enjoy Primus, and thats not so bad, evan if they suck...
