this is an awesome song...well written. im not totally sure but i think its about like some dudes band and then les (and his band, maybe before primus) and they were in some battle of the bands type thing. the first verse is about his rival and the second verse is about him and the battle of the bands. "The perfect show is put before the mass. Only to be ridiculed by some slimy, pompous.... " i think he is gonna say ass.. its just a matter of opinion...lol

TheHeckler348 I would reread the lyrics I think my interpetation can be taken into consideration. I get the "ass" part because it rhymes with mass and in the song it seems as if Les was interuppted by the crazy guitar as if he was about to say something else, probably ass. Note that the person that submitted the lyrics also added the dot dot dot dot (....)

slimy and pompous are both adjectives and adjectives decribe a noun so it needs to be followed by a noun, so anything could fit in there... by some slimy, pompous..fish? by some slimy, pompous..roadsign? by some slimy, pompous..apron? seems like "ASS" would fit best?

we all know what it's about...its just theyre arguing what its supposed to be...and its ass, they rhyme, since ass would describe "only to be ridiculed"...why would you be ridiculed by anything other than an ass considering its the only word that fits
i don't know too much about this song but that it was the last suck on this song to be made into a studio version. funny how they HIDE it on Antipop at the very end
I think it is an Anti-personification. Compairing the heckler to a snake, saying it "slithers in" and is "slimy" and not saying He/she but using "it" instead.
