Freakin great song! I think this song is just about being with someone who is not right for you and treats you badly and yet you want to give them one more chance.
These lyrics are definitely wrong. It's "I never SUNK this low" not "sung this low" and also it's "one last ROUND to kick me when i'm down" not "one last bound" which doesn't even make sense.
Definitely sounds like a rough relationship, in which the singer wants it to work out, regardless of the pain and hurt that occurs. In fact, she kind of sounds like she wants to change, as if that will make things better, even if it means changing what she stands for...
I thought the lyric was: "When you're nearby I see you and want you to try" not "I know you're mine I sit here and want you to try"

This song is about loving someone who is married to another person, so after the great wind up, the melancholy sits in because there is such guilt, and they have to leave on tour to their glory and its killing you. But you hope they come back again, because even though it hurts you need them one more time.
