Meet Me In The Tower Lyrics
i'm paralyzed, from head down
unrealized, pushing their doubt
i'm burned by all the fire,
that spread within my house
you put them there so you can put them out
when courage strikes, we'll come out
and wait around, with our heads down
turn me to the sky, turn me upside down
a way to feel a life, a life that's mine
cause i am like a big, strong cable
i am like a girl, soft inside
and finally today, i'm able
to put you in the ground
i'll meet you in the ground
the mirror fell, and i
i may as well, have been blind
the days passing like hours
i'll meet you in the tower
if they can dream then why, oh why can't i?
cause i am like a big, strong cable
i am like a girl, soft inside
and finally today, i'm able
to put you in the ground
i've finally stabilized,
i've finally stabilized
everyone will see,
everyone will see
i am like a big, strong cable
i am like a girl, soft inside
and finally today, i'm able
to put you in the ground
i am like a big, strong cable
i am like a girl, soft inside
and finally today, i'm able
to put you in the ground
unrealized, pushing their doubt
i'm burned by all the fire,

this song reminds of a emily dickenson poem where she is inside the coffine....implicating that she is dead yet ....she is describing all the steps of funeral....amazing...anyway...go thru the lyrics....ull see what i mean....i dunno ....if the songs implicates that is he dead....is he dying....tower, ground, mirror....all of them are symbolisms from death to afterlife...mirror being the optics....did any1 one see that flick with robin williams, and ....what may come.....something like that....well u get my drill....bye Scar

lolzzz
this band's music has saved my life most definately. i went thru a bad break up and it every song helped h eal my soul. So to me a lot of Ours's songs are about the turmoil a person goes thru during a break up...not the act of the break up but the pain and awakening you feel after it. Alot of their songs though seem to be about the turmoil you go thru as you are awakening. Being born is painful.
This song in particular is kinda about being able to put the past away and realize that everything is ok. i dont understand why it is called "meet me in the tower" when they are talking about burying them in the ground. i guess the symbolism has evaded me.
You guys are either really bad typers, our you just need to take second grade spelling over again! It's not like you're in a hurry to type this are you? And Victory March--It's been only 2 years since you wrote that comment...What the hell does "soon" mean to you??? NEVER? We'll at least you have a good taste for music, and Goolander must have a good taste for movies (just guessing you like Zoolander) and poetry, so i won't say anything more except one thing. If you like poetry like I do, and you're that litterate, how come you suck at spelling so much? Sorry, I must be in a critical mood today.
If this is just you in a "critical mood" then you must be a bitch in "normal" mode. Seriously grab some chocolate, grow up, and realize that not everyone is going to deal with you being a grammar-nazi and a jerk about it. It's no wonder you spend your time pulling others down, cause if you act like this in the real world you have no friends to occupy your time.... THIS is a forum about what you think a song means to you, not about who can be the biggest jerk to others to make themselves feel better about...

Now to the point of this site: I think that meet me in the tower is a song from a genius, even if he is a very disturbed genius. It seems to me, at least when i was in high school and found this band, to be a song about knowing you are strong and capable of letting go of the things that pull you down (like the jerk i replied to) and moving on to become the person you've wanted to be. I recommended it in a playlist for a friend of mine when she was complaining about having let her ex back into her life. He's a jerk to her, emotionally abusive and cheats. And though all her friends said she deserved better she'd just reply with "i love him". I told her to listen to this song, after looking up the lyrics, and sing it as loud as she could. It helped her to feel like she was able to end it with him and find someone who'll treat her better. Like i always say, music heals.
