Unopened Lyrics
Another misspelled rhyme
written in the book of time
In one page I've spent all my life
Ink ain't even dry. I've been living in a lie?
How could I trust in someone of your kind?
And I got today another letter in the mail
I can't read it here, not today
And when years go by
the unopened letter meets my eye
I'm older and wiser, but still afraid
What if I read it and it is - full of love
How can I face it if I am wrong
Do you feel? Do you care about me?
Did you wait and love all this time?
I am here, would you come and find me
does your writing guide me thru this all
What if I'll read it and it is - full of love
What if you'll tell me that I am wrong
Do you feel? Do you care about me?
Did you wait and love all this time?
I am here, would you come and find me
does your writing guide me thru this all

I'm guessing this is about a guy who sent a letter professing his love to a girl he knew didn't feel anything back for him, he got a responce, and never cared to open it in fear of rejection and being crushed, but then hes always feeling it could've been a good responce, but it remained unopened., or something like that...
Really this song should be taken as a part two to Letter To Dana. But I love this song. Gets stuck in my head for days. And the theme is really universal. It relates to everyone. Who hasn't received mixed signals or something and started stressing out about how someone feels?
Great, great song. I love the story behind it. Cronuus has a very good analysis of this song.
I absolutely love this song. It also gets stuck in my head for days!
I like to think that the repetition at the end symbolizes his torment and indecision regarding the contents of the letter.
indeed i believe your correct...
must be of a man who fears he might find that the letter was actually good, not something bad and mean...
sounds like something that would happen to me ... this song is great
i'm with you guys. really good song.
Excellent song. This is something that would happen to me, too.
