Moonchild Lyrics

Moonchild still lives in my heart.
Can I ask you something?
Is your life better now?

Sometimes I feel you're sitting next to me and listening to my stories
Time always shows me it's hard to understand how to be myself

Moonlight dries your tears, moonlight hides your fears

Sometimes I feel you're smiling at me and telling me your memories
Tide always moves fast
Can you tell me how to find words inside a shell?

Behind the scene : I got a crush on someone who was born when full moon. And she got 'moon' signature on her email.I call her 'moonchild'. So everytime I hear this song, kinda reminds me of her. That simple.

Did Miho Hatori really say that? Because when I had a friend listen to this song he insisted it was a cover. Since he knew the lyrics before hearing the song, I've always believed him.

Though, I don't believe that Miho would lie either...

Maybe tortoise lies...

or maybe it's just a borrowed chorus? Wait! Why don't I just look at the album? It's in the next room searches Okay, not a cover. Definitely written by Hatori and Honda.

To me, this has always seemed to be a lost-love song for someone born under the crabby zodiac sign of Cancer. Not only do cancers often refer to themselves as "moonchildren" for being ruled by the moon, but this song also references "crab" symbols like the tide and the shell. But like most zodiac things, it could relate to anybody.

@powerballad thatz exactly how i see this song too ^_^

This is such a beautiful song -- her wistful vocals take these simple words and make them meaningful and heartwrenching. I love how it's open to different interpretations. Is it for someone who has died? Or a breakup? Or just someone who moved away? Who knows, but that ache for someone is captured so well by this song.

I like the idea that it's about a Cancer too. Good interpretation, powerballad. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a moonchild. ;)
