Shindo Lyrics

Something's out there
and it takes me away
from a world too small to stay

something's out there

Another day in this place so small,
I'd rather be somebody else

maybe if my mind wasn't so tall,
I wouldn't be able to tell

and I've walked these streets
it seems like 10 million times
and I've seen things up and leave
time after time
(and its just another day) in this place so small

I'd rather be somebody else
old habits die hard

I quite like it. For some reason, I keep thinking that the beginning bit is about space and aliens and looking up at the stars and thinkingthere's something out there.

But I'm just a girl who's seen Men In Black too many times...

I think its about growing up in a small town. Like there is something out in the world for him and it will take him away from his small world (his town). He would rather be someone else because of the mediocrity of living in a town that he has walked around many times. He wants to get out

This song is about restlessness with one present situation. He wants to leave his town and find something better. This yearing to leave is pretty universal, but i've noticed it espcially in suburban kids i grew up with. Eventually you out grow your cage and have to find "what's out there".
