One Last Cigarette Lyrics

I check the time, it's 4:00 a.m.
And I just passed the westside buildings
All the broken glass
As I try to shake the cold away, but anyways,
It's late at night and I'm about to crack
And decide to just walk the tracks
That I just walked yesterday.

"Pezcore" is the best ltj cd. soley based on the lyrics of this song, i get the feeling of indifference, almost a sense of hopelessness. but coupled with the music, "one last cigarette" is a song of hope. tomorrow will come and i can have another chance to do something productive. but if i waste the day, another will come.

who knew so much meaning could be found in a simple ska song?

I feel like I know what it's like to live in gainesville but I've been there like twice.

One of the most profound songs I've ever heard. Every word is perfectly placed, none are extraneous (broken can be easily interchanged with "fucking"). Simple, beautiful, and ironically placed after "short on ideas" which basically says there's nothing left to say.

Oh my God there is. Oh my God. Pick up Hello Rockview.

This is their best song. I can't understand how it doesn't have more comments. Actually I can, most people's taste is up their ass.

i agree with itipezgirl somewhat. kinda like a waste of a day, but its 4am, what the fuck else could you be doing? he was probably lying in bed, and wanted one last cigarette for the day, so he decides to take a walk around the block while smoking. when out there he realizes that this is the same thing he did yesterday, and will probably do tomorrow.

Don't forget the other part:

But have I been thinking, yeah, too much tonight? When I realize just how my life's gone fine

"but I'm OK"

a state of self reflection in the middle of a mid-night stroll and smoke. I've done that before. It's easier to go through the motions and shut the brain down just to get through. Best to keep moving doing something, anything to stay distracted from the pains of reality
