This song is soooo beautiful... I know, when you lost someone you love, the world is still the same, but to you it seems like it could never be the same again. Losing somebody is always the hardest thing one can experience...
This is such a beautiful song. She's saying how she doesn't understand how the world can keep spinning...how everything in the outside world can still be exactly the same, even though she's lost such a big part of her and she's completely different inside. She's saying how she lost someone she loved, whether she broke up with a boyfriend or someone passed away, and while she feels torn apart and like she can't go on, the sun is still shining outside and people are going on their way.

Let me correct you here, Nillaith. She didn't dedicate the song to Aaliyah. The song was written for Lisa "Left Eye", the girl who hosted the show MTV The Cut, in which Anastacia was a contestant and where she got the second place. They made really good friends after that! A pitty! :(
