Theo B Lyrics

What a dream you still love me well, it's my imagination
Thought I'd reach to one against all white
Black smoke in her eyes and they
Were offering me good advice
Try and tie an arrow
Way on top of the stars you...holding on to...
Let us sometimes fly away
Words were look like this oh here in me
It's all imagination
Untie my hands so I can fly away
To another world and they
Were offering me good advice
Try and tie an arrow
Way on top of the stars you...holding on to...
Let us sometimes fly away

You shut my eyes will it all remain?
I was staring naked to your words
Where were you when I was coming near?
And I would hope to reach to xxxxxxxxxx
I was staring naked to your words
Where were you when I was coming near?
And I will have some medicine
Anyway, then, you, hold, me,
While I was in the pit
YOUUUUUUUUU!

This is such a great song. It's a shame that there are no official lyrics, because, as you can see, these two transcriptions are very different, and considerably flawed. One cannot interpret the song until there is a consensus to the words he is singing.

"Theo B" - not sure why this is the title

"What a dream you still love me whoa,// is it my imagination?"

He is surprised she still loves him which suggest he might have done something bad that could have made her stop loving him

"For we reached to one against all white"

A wedding?

"left smoke in your eyes"

When smoke enters your eyes, you tear up - so she is crying. He might have left her sometime before they were getting married

"And they were offering me good advice" "they" might refer to friends and family

"Try to tie an arrow"

like tie the knot (get married) AND "an arrow" could refer to cupid's arrows

Cupid has two arrows one that makes someone feel "uncontrollable desire" (not necessarily love, could be just lust) and another that leads someone struck to "feel aversion and desire only to flee" - so he feels attraction to this person but also wants to escape

"Way on top the statue holding answers (on so…)"

  • no idea what "statue" refers to

"Let us sometimes (some time to) fly away"

  • he is saying that they need some distance/time apart

"We're left like this Oh here in me//It's her imagination"

  • not sure

"Untie my hands so I can fly away//To another world and they//Were offering me good advice"

  • "untie my hands" = he feels restrained. The person he's with could be possessive and he wants to "fly away" and escape their cage. Or it could be that he feels stuck in a relationship. They may have fallen out of love but feel too afraid to say this openly because they don't want to admit it.

"Try to tie an arrow//Way on top the statue calling on so... (Answers)"

  • no idea what "statue" refers to

"Let us sometimes (some time to) fly away" -same as before

"You shut my eyes but I remain// I was staring naked to your hands"

  • when she goes to sleep, she sees him in her sleep

  • he is naked in her dream which is clearly sexual. This might mean that the relationship, at least near the end, became primarily physical, with the two people not being able to offer any sort of love, emotional support, intimacy to each other outside of sex

  • no idea why he's looking into her hands (maybe for a ring??)

"Where were you when I was calling dear"

  • as I said above, the speaker felt he didn't get any emotional support from his partner

"And I wear forty rings to grab appeal//I was staring naked to your hands//Where were you when I was calling, dear?"

  • not sure what "forty rings" means, but when people get married they wear rings so "forty rings" could be an exaggeration of this.

"And I will have some medicine (answers)"

  • in her dreams, he will cure them and their relationship (with "medicine")

"Anyway, then you hold me, I was in the womb You…."

  • not sure but "I was in the womb" implies that she kept him close and caged in her.

i luv this song full stop

awesome bass line! it almost sounds like the relationship he was in had a tight leash, and she or maybe God had a time where he was let off his leash and went to far. it sounds like he's talking about being out of his element and not knowing what to do. but i dont know, great song though
