Black no. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All) Lyrics
She's in love with herself
She likes the dark
On her milk white neck
The Devil's mark
It's all Hallows Eve
The moon is full
Will she trick or treat
I bet she will
She's got date at midnight
With Nosferatu
Oh baby, Lilly Munster
Ain't got nothing on you
Well when I called her evil
She just laughed
And cast that spell on me
Boo Bitch Craft
Yeah you wanna go out 'cause it's raining and blowing
You can't go out 'cause your roots are showing
Dye em black
Black no. 1
Little wolf skin boots
And clove cigarettes
An erotic funeral
For witch she's dressed
Her perfume smells like
Burning leaves
Everyday is Halloween
Loving you was like loving the dead
She likes the dark
On her milk white neck
The Devil's mark
It's all Hallows Eve
The moon is full
Will she trick or treat
I bet she will
With Nosferatu
Oh baby, Lilly Munster
Ain't got nothing on you
Well when I called her evil
She just laughed
And cast that spell on me
Boo Bitch Craft
You can't go out 'cause your roots are showing
Dye em black
Black no. 1
And clove cigarettes
An erotic funeral
For witch she's dressed
Her perfume smells like
Burning leaves
Everyday is Halloween

In my opinion, I don't think this song is as somber or dark as it initially comes off. I believe its more a tounge-in-cheek look at the 'gothic' stereotype.
Lines such as "Will she trick or treat/I bet she will", and "Lilly Munster/Ain't got nothing on you" suggest a gently mocking tone. Coupled with the chorus that gives this song its name, "You can't go out 'cause your roots are showing/Dye 'em black" , and I think its overall a very humorous tune. Judging by the tone set with these statements, I think the first and last verse tie up the song as an archetypal representation of a brooding gothic female.
You're right. In some interview Pete said it's about a goth girl that's only interested in herself and that loves no one but herself. He was in a relationship with her and the end came when she put a mirror on his face while they were havin' sex so she could watch herself, LOL.
Jesterboy is dead right. It makes fun of the whole 'gothic' stereotype.
Heh. This song is me in highschool and just about every goth chick I have ever met. :-) The sarcasm of this song illustrates beautifully how serious she is taking herself and just how silly that is. I love Type O.
EVERYONE BUY "LIFE IS KILLING ME" OUT JUNE 17th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel it is their best work to date. Or...maybe "October Rust"...or...or....AGHGHGHH! runs screaming to listen to more TON
I'm not a goth. Nowhere near one actually. And I love this song. For me, it will always bring the back the memory of the first time I went to a strip club. haha. Best lookin chick there did a dance to it. Needless to say it was awesome because this song is so long.

My all time favourite piece of Pete Steele on-stage banter: "Some people say i'm a pussy. I say, you are what you eat." How can you not love this man?
Her roots are showing so hes suggesting she dye them black...oh but not just ANY black...black no. 1!
heheee....I love this one. I also like the video they made for it... people shouldn't take themselves wayy to seriously... ^_^ for live version; go to their website! :D
