I am a mountain,
I am a tall tree, oh
I am a swift wind
Sweeping the country

I am a river,
Down in the valley, oh
I am a vision
And I can see clearly

If anybody asks you who I am, just stand up tall, look 'em in the face and say

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it, hmm
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it, hmm
I'm the worlds greatest

I am a giant
I am an Eagle oh
I am a lion
Down in the jungle
I am a marching band
I am the people oh
I am a helping hand
I am a hero

If anybody asks you who I am, just stand up tall look 'em in the face and say

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it, hmm
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it, hmm
I'm the worlds greatest

In the ring of life,
I'll reign in love (I will reign)
And the world will notice a king (oh, yeah)
When all is darkness,
I'll shine a light (shine a light)
And the mirrors of sucesss reflect in me (Me)

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it
I'm the worlds greatest

I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the worlds greatest

(He's the greatest) Can you feel it?
(Can you feel it?)He's the greatest
(He's the greatest)Can you feel it?
(Can you feel it?)I saw the light
(He's the greatest)At the end of the tunnel
(Can you feel it?)Believe in a pot of gold
(He's the greatest)At the end of a rainbow

This is a song about Muhammed Ali. He was the greatest, just just the greatest athlete, but one of the greatest American in the 20th century.

The song was about Mahammed Ali as yoyofella just stated. Mahammed Ali would always say "I'm the Worlds greatest" as in boxer... Not Athlet. And let's all face it, he is. No one was as good a boxer or ever will be than Mahammed Ali. That's what this song is about. How no one will ever be as great a boxer as Mahammed Ali. If you watch the music video for this song, R. Kelly is playing a boxer (Mahammed Ali) and he gets into the ring and the song starts. It's a great song dedicated to Mahammed Ali.

You guys have the wrong idea, think about what colors show, what is the artist trying to tell you by only showing red white and blue? What do you think the purpose was in showing the US army, the doctors and women and children of America. Fire-fighters & policemen of AMERICA. What is he showing by wearing American-flag-print attire, and everyone in the audience holding American flags.

He is saying that his country is the worlds greatest, that country be the USA.

I'm thinkin you probably mean Rapper, not Raper. If he were the world's greatest raper, this song would be quite distasteful. :-) Also, just to be REALLY picky, you don't really hear R Kelly rapping all that much, do you? He's more of a singer. Have a nice day!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
