my guess is that the telephone thing represents a long distance relationship and the person is outside of his reach and this makes him feel torn (away from his love). Drag the miles to me (bring yourself here!) He's getting wore down and sexually frustrated. =)

well, pug is short for "pug-list" and it's like a boxer type of thing (the ones that fight...not the ones you wear..."i think it's about knowing your relationships going sour but you still love the person in a way...or maybe it's like knowing your bf/gf is going somewhere...and every kiss is like a punch in the mouth...
I think the music to the song lends it a bit of a stalkerish aspect. Especially the opening riff. It makes me feel like I'm following somone in a creepy fashion.
To me, I feel it's about loving and desiring somebody so much that you want them to almost 'abuse' you in a way for you to get as close to them as possible. It's very sexy, sensual and raw. Definitely one of my favourites off Adore.

i think pug refers to a pug machine, since he is changing for this one girl who he loves who is sort of abusing him. Or it could be reffering to different types of "pugs." When he says
