Electro Shock Faders Lyrics
Long black dress
Hawaian shirt
Kicking pair of trainers
Electro shock faders
Guiding your voice through your veins
Sick of all this working
Longing for a sinking
Long black dress
Hawaian shirt
Kicking pair of trainers
Electro shock faders
Guiding your voice through your veins
Sick of all this working
Longing for a sinking
Ship that rules the bottom of the sea
A bottle as a prison not really my idea
Of a perfect environment it makes you see
Everything's a blur
Do you know what I mean
Long black dress
Hawaian shirt
Kicking pair of trainers
Electro shock faders
Guiding your voice through your veins
Sick of all this working
Longing for a sinking
Ship that rules the bottom of the sea
A bottle as a prison not really my idea
Of a perfect environment it makes you see
Everything's a blur
Do you know what I mean
Hawaian shirt
Kicking pair of trainers
Electro shock faders
Sick of all this working
Longing for a sinking
Hawaian shirt
Kicking pair of trainers
Electro shock faders
Sick of all this working
Longing for a sinking
A bottle as a prison not really my idea
Of a perfect environment it makes you see
Everything's a blur

I have come to the conclusion that Hooverphonic is either an exceptionally intelligent band with amazing symbolism in their lyrics that is far beyond my comprehension, or an electronic band using lyrics not holding any real meaning as filler in songs.
I tend to think its the latter due to phrases like "Micro liquid feelings" - "Electro shock faders" - "Blue wonder power milk" - "InteruniFUN", etc...
I have no clue what this song is about... but I like it. grin
It makes me think of someone who is "gender-bending". I forget that word for that.
I agree with bugmenot's second idea, as well.
Seeing as I heard the band named the albun (Blue Wonder Power Milk) because the words sounded cool together, and because they are Belgian and might not know much English, I often think their songs don't mean much of anything and are just words put together to sound cool. I love their music, but as much as I try to get the "hidden meaning" in their songs, I just think they often put words together for their sound...which is okay.

I keep interpreting it two ways: Two people coming together -- one in a hawaiian shirt and something insanely bright colored, the other in a black dress and a kickin' pair of trainers.
The other is someone who's totally a genderbending off-the-wall freak like me.
My first impression of this song was that it was about a night of drinking. "Sick of all this work, longing for a sinking." The words, bottle, blur, and 'perfect environment' added to that impression.
