Danny Says Lyrics

Danny says that he got caught up
in all the talk of how it used to be
and he says "I never used to mind"
that same lame line "it's just you and me"
Danny says that he's so boring now
since he figured out that back in the day
really says"..how I remember this,
and don't give a shit about what you have to say"
He's only 19 burnt out on this scene
and just getting by on its memories

I'm guessing that it's about a guy called Danny who's bored of his "scene" (God, I hate using the word "scene" when I'm not talking about theatre) but he's only nineteen, so I think they're implying that he's getting a bit big for his boots and being all "Yeah, well I'M nineteen!" so then, presumably, LTJ would say "Well we're in our thirties and we're not bored yet, so stop your whining!"

I'm pretty sure this song is about a kid named Danny who got into a scene (be it ska, punk, or something else) when it was dying down, and all of the people who were there from the start are talking about the "good old days" and he's bummed & burnt out because he'll never get to experience any of it. I don't know if this is right or not, but it's just my take on it.
