Oh
Mmm

Feel the rhythm with your hands
(Steal the rhythm while you can)
Spoonman
Speak the rhythm on your own
(Speak the rhythm all alone)
Spoonman

Spoonman, come together with your hands
Save me, I'm together with your plan
Save me, yeah
Save, oh

Well, all my friends are Indians
(All my friends are brown and red)
Spoonman
And all my friends are skeletons
(They beat the rhythm with their bones)
Spoonman
Oh, hmm

Spoonman, come together with your hands
Save me, I'm together with your plan
Save me
Save
Save me
Save me, yeah
Save
With your

(Come on, come on, come on)
(Come on, come on, come on)
(Come on, come on, come on)
(Come on, come on, come on)

With your hands
With your hands
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Hands

(Come on while I get off)
(Come on while I get off)
(Come on while I get off)
(Come on while I get off, yeah)
(Come on while I get off)
(Come on while I get off)
(Come on while I get off)
Come on while I get off

Spoonman, come together with your hands
Save me, I'm together with your plan
Save me
Save, yeah
Save me
With your, with your hands
Feel the rhythm with your hands
(Steal the rhythm while you can)
Spoonman

karmababe24 has pretty much said what I wanted to say about people's interpretations. True, the site's called SongMeanings, so if that's the case, what's wrong with posting your own take on the song? Since when did the site become some place to try and nitpick at the artist's mind when it's supposed to be who it was made for to listen --- us, the audience. So just pick your take on it. Anyhow, moving onto the subject...

Looking at the title, right off the bat I get the impression of heroine. But when you look at a song, you have to look at more than just the lyrics, the tone they're sung in, etc.. Note that people said it has a great beat (which it does, kick ass man). Artis the Spoonman plays spoons as an instrument, correct? Bam. There's your connection right there folks along with the lyrics. (This is the kind of "interpretation power/method," for lack of a better phrase, you get from listening to a LOT of Tool and other early 90's bands including Soundgarden =D).

Also, this is probably my second favorite song behind my two first favorites, "Black Hole Sun" and "Like Suicide". A pity Soundgarden broke up, it would've been awesome to see them write a 21st century version "Black Hole Sun" with the shit that goes on these days.
