mike ness is a really good writer, and also is very intellegent. as shown in the song, he realizes that you must have some discipline in your life. i think it took him a long to learn this lesson though..

Good things can be done with a self-destructive edge. Sex, drugs, alcohol... some people do it to have fun, and some people just wanna get fucked up and die. I think that's what this song's about. We're all gonna die anyway, may as well go get fucked up and die, no matter who it hurts. But as the first song on this album says, aint nothing in this world for free... and you cant really do some things guilt-free, and you end up hating yourself for it even more.
