i dont reely think this song has a meaning...just lik an overall feel to it reely...tht we dont have any answers, werr just beings who think that werr doing something special but we are really just non-existent specks in the world who think that were creating history by just simply breathing and acting upon certain circumstances but really we don't have a purpose in the world. we are just "proposals in a cosmic nursery"...

in this song kasher seems to have a very existential attitude towards human life. his statement at the begining of the song basically sums up what the song is about: despite all our questions about "why we exist" and "what is the meaning of life" we really have no answers and never will. he seems to have given up searching for any meaning in life, and is just resigning to the fact that we never will have the answers to our quiestions. i especially like the way he compares us to the stars, and the fact that they are truly massive yet still just tiny specks from our viewpoint. despite his assurance that there are no answers, he ends the song asking the very questions that he realizes there are no answers to.

great song, clearly Tim is clearly wondering about existence and its meaning
"...one more breath away from yesterday..." is the lyric.
and i think it was made clear what the point of the song is. in the lyrics. in plain english.
This song asks what is there that makes us, 'us' other than the continuation of our past. Is the love we experienced, the pain we've experienced make us who we are? Is this all there is? And when you see me on stage, acting out my past, is this who I am? Just these bundles of reactions? These yesterdays built upon yesterdays? There's a chance this really isn't me... There are no answers.
