i think this is another song showing tim's refutation of his catholicism. what with the reference to 'holy ghosts and saints' and the progression from "schoolboy" beliefs to adulthood; he cannot find answers to all those 'grown-up' questions. Religion seems to be a prevalent theme, what with references in songs such as Pulse, and many others, too.
