I'm not looking for someone to talk to
I've got my friends, I'm more than okay
I've got more than a girl could wish for
I live my dreams, but it's not all they say

Still I believe (I'm missing)
I'm missing something real
I need someone who really sees me

(Don't want to wake) don't want to wake up alone anymore
Still believing you'll walk through my door
All I need is to know it's for sure
Then I'll give all the love in the world

I've often wondered, if love's an illusion
Just to get you through the loneliest days
I can't criticize it, I had no hesitation
My imagination just stole me away

(Still) still I believe
(I'm missing) I'm missing something real
I need someone who really sees me

(Don't want to wake) don't want to wake up alone anymore
Still believing you'll walk through my door
All I need is to know it's for sure
Then I'll give all the love in the world

Love's for a lifetime, not for a moment
So how could I throw it away? Yeah
I'm only human and nights grow colder (nights grow colder)
With no one to love me that way, yeah
I need someone who really sees me

(Don't want to wake) and I won't wake up alone anymore
Still believing you'll walk through my door
You'll reach for me and I'll know it's for sure
Then I'll give all the love in the world

Don't wanna wake up alone anymore
Don't wanna wake up alone
Just wait for me
Don't wanna wake up alone
'Cause I don't wanna be alone
Don't wanna wake up alone
Don't wanna wake up alone

    My Interpretation

This song is all about the girl who's waiting for the guy to love her even though she knows that the guy doesn't love him back. Despite of that, the girl still loves the guy

Lovely song... but the CHORUS is before anything else. See:

(Don't wanna wake) Don't wanna wake up alone any more Still believing you'll walk through my door All I need is to know it's for sure Then I'll give all the love in the world

I'm not looking for someone to talk to I've got my friend, I'm more than O.K. I've got more than a girl could wish for I live my dreams but it's not all they say

Still I believe (I'm missing) I'm missing something real I need someone who really sees me

(Don't wanna wake) Don't wanna wake up alone any more Still believing you'll walk through my door All I need is to know it's for sure Then I'll give all the love in the world

I've often wondered if love's an illusion Just to get you through the loneliest days I can't criticise it I have no hesitation My imagination just stole me away

(Still) Still I believe (I'm missing) I'm missing something real I need someone who really sees me

(Don't wanna wake) Don't wanna wake up alone any more Still believing you'll walk through my door All I need is to know it's for sure Then I'll give all the love in the world

Love's for a lifetime, not for a moment So how could I throw it away Yeah, I'm only human And nights grow colder With no-one to love me that way

Yeah I need someone who really sees me

(Don't wanna wake) And I won't wake up alone any more Still believing you'll walk through my door You'll reach for me and I'll know it's for sure Then I'll give all the love in the world

(Don't wanna wake up alone any more)

syd_Mel, that's the remix, you can find it in the Best Of album. The original version starts with an instrumental introduction, and it's in the In Blue album. Despite some people's opinion that this song is cheesy, I really like it! I think that the lyrics reveal a lot of things about love and relationships that are true! :) I love this song!

I like the part "I've got my friends, I'm more than okay."

I wish I could tell this to the guy I like---but damn I don't have the guts to.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
