It's not romantic here in blue
Swimming, swimming in blue
You left me lonely and confused
Question, questioning you
So soon goodbye you stole my heart
Believe, believing you
Was it a lie right from the start
Answer, answer me do

Well now my body's weak so just give me a reason
And my make-up's off so just give me a reason
And my defense's down so just give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason

You'll never know the love I felt
Wanting, waiting for you
It takes a weak heart to forget
Follow, follow it through

Well now my body's weak so just give me a reason
And my make-up's off so just give me a reason
And my defense's down so just give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason

So what's a girl like me to do
Drowning, drowning in you
And who's to save me from the blue
Carry, carry me through

Cause now my body's weak so just give me a reason
And my make-up's off so just give me a reason
And my defense's down so just give me a reason
I am strong enough so just give me a reason
Now my body's weak so just give me a reason
And my make-up's off so just give me a reason
My defense's down so just give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason
Give me a reason

What did I do wrong

This song has a real Simon & Garfunkel meets William Orbit with a strong melancholic thread running through it!!!

how come there are no more comments on this song?? I think it's so beautiful I think it could also be not only about a relationship ending ... i think that it could be about someone who at first acts like he loves her, and suddenly its all over... so he "will never know the love i felt" "So soon goodbye you stole my heart I'm believing you Was it a lie right from the start Answer, answer me do..."

    BEAUTIFUL

Actually I think you'll find that it's not "and my make-up's off so just" it's "and I'm making sausages". That makes much more sense. Winner winner chicken dinner.

    My Interpretation

To me, this song is all about longing - a recurrent theme in quite a few of The Corrs' songs - and lust. The story told by the lyrics is one of a short but explosive romance which is suddenly broken off by the man, only to leave the girl wondering why. The girl is still angry about the break-up and has difficulty getting over it. Yet, when she meets the man again she wants nothing more than to throw herself at him. Being too proud to do so - just barely -, in her mind she asks, or even begs, him to "give her a reason" to lose control. Her body is weak, here make-up is off, here defense is down, she is completely receptive to any advances he might make. She is really just hoping and waiting for even the slightest initiative or hint of his to fall into his arms. That is my opinion, anyway.

I'd say he told her a whole load of lies and sweet talked her in to believing he loved her -got what he wanted from her then ran and left her alone and feeling used -A great technique that a lot of men are great at sadly they let down the decent men on this planet. I love this song and the corrs

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
