While lyrically simple, and it really need to be heard within the context of the album to make a lot of sense, this is by far my favourite Fear Factory song.

pretty much goes along in a esense that we rely on machines to do all our work. we rely on computers to fix our problems, we rely on technology to make our lives simple,easier. Instead of actually doing it ourselves, we are making our own speices(I know spelling sucks) useless as time goes by. Listening to the whole album, it goes to the whole terminator type story, which made it friggin cool. But in a way, one day the very machines we rely on, could one day screw us over.

by the way..did anyone hear that computer generated voice at the beggining of the song? what does it say?

The computer generated voice in the intro to this song is Gary Numan, it basically says the firs tverse of the song i think.

it says : listening, listen to what i say, they saved man from machine, dominate is to erase, what has man evovled ( or somthing ), to eradicate humanity, man is obsolete, ready? extinct

The Gary Numan voice intro actually goes like this:

Nothing is the way it seems Discerning man from machines Dominate as to erase Wiping man off Earth's face Fueling engines through deceit Man is obsolete! Erased, extinct! To eradicate humanity

Which is basically the first 4 lines of the first verse (without the "now"), the first 2 lines of the second and the chorus.
