Little Criminals Lyrics

What you wanna come back here for?
Thought you're with your uptown friends
Don't need none of your junkie business
You gonna screw us up again

Get your blackjack off my table
Get your coat out of my rack
We don't need you 'round here, jerk-off
Chuck, I want you off my back

'Cause we've almost made it
We've almost made it
We've almost made it to the top

Got a gun from Uncle Freddy
Got a station all picked out
Got a plan and now we're ready
Gonna take that station out

So you go about your business
You just leave use folks alone
We don't need no two-bit junkie
Screwin' up our happy home

'Cause we've almost made it
We've almost made it
We've almost made it to the top

The song is about a group of wannabe thieves (who think they're all big-shots), as far as I know. They're trying to plan a heist or something along those lines, and they've got this other wannabe thief bothering them, wanting to tag along. And they're telling him no, because he'll screw it up. And they think they're some big-shot criminals.

hell if I know this song's meaning, but I do know members of the Eagles play on it, and it has a great bass line. Maybe the best tune off the record of the same name fom 1977.

@Flyersfan It is about some punks who are getting ready to rob a gas station. A guy they know drops by. Apparently in the past he dumped them for another group and they are telling him to get lost. Apparently they think that robbing a gas station is a step up from whatever kind of crimes they previously done.

I can't say this is a great explanation but it is the best I can do. ;-)

I like the bass line, but my favorite is the one on "Short People". BTW, I am only 5'3" tall due to genes and...
