It's Electric (Diamond Head cover) Lyrics
GARAGE INC. (1998)
(Original by Diamond Head)
I'm gonna be a rock and roll star
Gotta groove from night to day
Gotta blow my crummy job
Gonna blow my blues away
I'm gonna make a stand
Gonna make a million
Gonna make it with you
I'm gonna be wild my friend
I gotta push it through
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
I stop on red and I leave on amber
And you face my way
I'm gonna make it my friend
Gonna make it today
Gonna get the tilts from my hills
Down the highway I go
Gonna get the stars from my route
Make it in a rock and roll show
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
I stop on red and I leave on amber
And you face my way
I'm gonna make it my friend
Gonna make it today
Gonna get the tilts from my hills
Down the highway I go
Gonna get the stars from my route
Make it in a rock and roll show
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
It's electric
Gotta groove from night to day
Gotta blow my crummy job
Gonna blow my blues away
I'm gonna make a stand
Gonna make a million
Gonna make it with you
I'm gonna be wild my friend
I gotta push it through
It's electric
It's electric

And you face my way
I'm gonna make it my friend
Gonna make it today
Gonna get the tilts from my hills
Down the highway I go
Gonna get the stars from my route
Make it in a rock and roll show

In the original the solo is a bit different.
this really has improved on the origional quite a lot...possibly the most improved song on garage inc.
Amazin song!
Amazin song!
I think it's "Gonna get the dust off my heels" not the "tilts from my hills". That's just what it sounds like anyway, I could be wrong.
Isn't it 'throw my blues away'? I think it makes more sense that way... Oh, it might ruin listening to the song for you, but am I the only one that gets 'honey jar' out of 'crummy job'? I know it's wrong, but I hear it so clearly!
"stop on red and leave on amber" amber is a street name for heroin
