listen to the Alive in Athens disc that has Last December on it. They say it's about 2 lost souls who blah blah blah and I forget the rest. Someone dies in December and crap.
this song reminds me of romeo and juliet...two people are in love and their parents wont let them be together..."mother you fored us here, father now we'll dissapear" so in december they both plan to kill themselfs so they can be together in the after life..."teenage sucide, our only way out"....this song rocks, check out the live version
I think of this song as Iced Earth's take on Romeo & Juliet. It probably wasn't specifically inspired by that, but the stories are very similar nonetheless.

Last December was originalyl a song written and recorded by Matts old band Cauldron. I believe it's called Entry Number 161914 Pain. Jon liked the song so much he re-recorded it as Last December.

Great song. I agree with Paradox, the lyrics do remind me of Romeo & Juliet, though I'm not quite sure that was the main inspirtation for them.
It sounds like two teenagers who love each other and elope against the will of their parents, who believe that their love isn't much.

That pretty much explains it. It's a very cool song.
