Vulcan Ears Lyrics
in a tiny spaceship, with four legs a pillow and some sheets,
that's where my idols always meet, I'd like to be there now
trying every night to see a UFO, but in case I don't,
just in case I won't I've got my fantasy to lean on
vulcan eyebrows, vulcan ears, that's what I dream of,
no more sorrow, no more tears, can't you get me beamed up?
vulcan logic, vulcan needs, quite bizarre but still a dream
as I'm waiting for that beam
bullshit is all we talk on this planet we call earth
since I'm tired of that I'll take a further step
I think I'll find my way in space
that's where my idols always meet, I'd like to be there now
just in case I won't I've got my fantasy to lean on
no more sorrow, no more tears, can't you get me beamed up?
vulcan logic, vulcan needs, quite bizarre but still a dream
as I'm waiting for that beam
since I'm tired of that I'll take a further step
I think I'll find my way in space

This song might seem pretty funny, but i think Nikola is saying that he's just sick of all the bullshit on earth and thinks that up in space he will finally escape all the stress he has on earth. "no more sorrow, no more tears, can't you get me beamed up?" and "I think I'll find my way in space" are the lyrics that really define the song.
Yes, I agree. Plus it just sounds totally awesome and I once listend to Life on A Plate over 5 times through on a road trip : ).
vulcan eyebrows, vulcan ears, that's what i dream of. Heh, this song is so simple and lame but always makes me happy :>
i agree: nikola is saying here that he is tired of fucking around with the complications and pressures that life on earth presents for him. you can see he seeks a more simple release when he mentions his 'idols', who only need 'a pillow and sheets'. his idols are undoubtedly the cats/dogs etc. that have been sent in spaceships for research.
fuck millencolin rule
I've never thought of it in the way that oz_van_fan suggested; those lines about "four legs" and all that, they have never made sense to me before, but now it definitely sounds reasonable.
The chorus (with "Vulcans ears", "can't you get me beamed up?" etc.) is full of Star Trek references.
um, no you guys the "tiny spaceship with four legs, a pillow and some sheets" is his bed. where he obviously dreams about being a vulcan in space, suppressing emotions, hence no more sorrow.
