I got you crawling up a mountain
Hanging round my neck
I got you twisted around my finger
Crawling round my legs
The emptiness
The craziness
Satisfy my hungriness
Darling how would it feel?

If we sleep together
will you like me better?
If we cum together
we'll go down forever
If we sleep together
will I like you better?
If we cum together
Prove it now or never

Make me a pretty person
Make me feel like I belong
Make me hard and make me happy
Make me beautiful
The emptiness
The craziness
Satisfy this loneliness
Darling how would it feel?

If we sleep together
will you like me better?
If we cum together
we'll go down forever
If we sleep together
will I like you better?
If we cum together
Prove it now or never

If we sleep together (nothing satisfies me baby)
If we sleep together (I'll wear something pretty baby)
If we sleep together (give me what I crave now baby)
If we sleep together (you will drive me crazy baby)
If we sleep together (save the rest for later baby)
If we sleep together (I save it all for you my baby)
If we sleep together

Both sides are right. The first several lines suggest the guy is totally whipped over her. But the lines

"make me a pretty person make me feel like i belong make me hard and make me happy make me beautiful"

suggest she is the one who is whipped. If she was really in control of this dude she wouldn't need him to make her feel beautiful or that she belongs. This song encompasses two different extremes that women can feel when considering banging someone for the first time. And I really don't think she's saying that she doesn't want to sleep with this guy. Everything about this song says "We're gonna fuck each other's brains out. I wonder what it will be like?" and she's getting excited about it. It's the thrill of sleeping with someone new.

By the way, I think the "nothing satisfies me" line is incorrect. I always heard "if it satisfies me baby". Because all women know that while it's easy for the man to get off, our orgasm is never guaranteed; it's always an IF.

Also the last lines are missing. Here they are.

"Save it all for you my baby

    If we sleep together

    If we sleep together"

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
