Can you see the line where the water ends?
Throws itself off into oblivion.
As sky goes so complacent
And then spits a little compassion.
Dusk approaches, the city's carnivorous.
*Moisture's* sweat like it once would eat us
And devour everything but this mouth
Sings of this glorious fetus.
Tucked deep inside the rafts of blood.

Everywhere it seemed that there's a memory.
Sometimes memories kill me.
As I travel the avenues of the streets
And shadow deli's of this fucking city.
Everyday day it seem to love a little less.
Seem to love to chew on my calmness.
And drive me to the end of myself
Where he is.
Dispose of me.

You're like a man without skin.
Everything he touches seems to hurt him .
And he says maybe I'm just a person.
But I'll be for you if you let me.

All I want is animals to be free.
Run around and fuck right out in the street.
Every day they're gonna want to eat me.
But I'll try not to take it personally.

And is there no love in this city?
Can someone have just a little pity?

You're like a man without skin.
Everything that touches seems to hurt him.
And he says maybe I'm just a person.
But I'll be for you if you let me

Just like a man without skin
Everything he sees seems to touch him
And he says that the one who watches over me
I'll stand alone let god make a trade.

Come on, baby.
Penetrate me.
You go so deep,
So deep in me.
Is there no love in this city?
Could someone have just a little pity?

'Cause we're tucked deep inside the rafts of blood

You're like a man without skin.
Everything that touches seems to hurt him.
And he says maybe I'm just a person.
But I'll be for you if you let me.

Just like a man without skin,
Everything he sees seems to touch him.
And he says that the one who watches over me.
I'll stand alone let god make a trade.

Penetrate me.
Penetrate me.

Can you see the line where the water ends?
Throws itself off into oblivion.
As the sky goes so complacent
Then spits a little compassion

This song is about someone who's lived a very sheltered life... at least, thats what I think it's about.

Another awesome song by boy hits car. I've checked around at different sites, and it seems theres some dispute over the lyrics. Frankly i dont think it matters too much, because some parts wouldnt make much sense either way, but still a cool song, thats just their style. from what i do understand of this song i think its pretty cool, "sometimes, memories kills me" Sometimes i feel like "I'm a Cloud, without skin"

"everywhere it seems that theres a memory, sometimes memories kill me" i LOVE that part. its so great. its very true too. if you were in a relationship with someone for a long time, (friendship, or boyfriend/girlfriend), and maybe when it ends... there are memories everywhere. you might go somewhere or see something or find something and think about that person and think about what they had to do with that something. like maybe you went there with them, or they bought you this, and it may hurt... to remember things... "sometimes memories kill me" well at least thats what i think that part means... oh well, this song rules.

man without skin describes the simple ways people can get hurt, some people have tough skin and dont give a shit, but this particular guy doesnt have any, and everything that is said and done to him hurts him in one way or another. i think thismakes him quite lonely also "And is there no love in this city? Can someone have just a little pity?" because of his fragility he is doomed to wonder the streets alone looking for pity and love. while the "ravens", bullys and such, pick on him because they know he is fragile. im not quite sure what the rafts of blood are supposed to mean though.

Its about being over sensitive, everything hurts... A Man Without Skin is someone that would get hurt if somebody didn't talk to them, and stuff... This song has described me some times. Cause in a time of need I was stepped on and stepped on, then after that someone kept saying things to me that just made me want to commit suicide. Man Without Skin is what I refer to myself some times.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
