i downright love this song ( not to mention all of everclears songs ) thats all there is to say about it..
Great song, but the line in the 7th stanza:
"I'll be singing in the rain when the bad dreams com"
Should be "I'll be singing in the rain when the bed's on fire"
"i'll be singing in the rain when the bed's on fire, and it all goes wrong again" is true. his brother, george had a cigerette, and fell asleep with it in his hand, and the bed caught on fire. so he got up, and simply put it out. art watched and thought it was great.
this song is basically about accepting all the bad shit that happens in life and trying to get on top of it all
This is my favorite song by Everclear...the pessimist rises up and kill the beast that afflicts him metaphorically speaking.
