So personally I think this is Sleeps' song ('Sleep' is the name of an ancient deity the band is said to collectively worship). The journey of how they/them passed through time, ever changing from a God on Olympus to the technology of our phones. Sleep is everywhere, which ties back to Vessel (the frontman) in their track 'Chokehold' where he says that we're acting out of our duty to Sleep by being constantly awake. Most of us nowadays use our phones to put us to sleep by doom scrolling or watching videos, inviting Sleep in.
To me it seems like this song is about transition of states, change, transformation, metamorphosis.
