Savage Love Lyrics

Ahhh, savage love, Derulo

If I woke up without ya
I don't know what I would do
Thought I could be single forever
Till' I met you
Usually don't be fallin', be fallin' fallin' first
You gotta way of keeping me comin' back to back
I just found out, the only reason that you lovin' me
Is to get back at your ex lover but before you leave
Usually I would never, would never even care
Baby I know she creepin', I feel it in the air

Every night and every day
I try to make you stay
But your

Savage love
Did somebody, did somebody
Break your heart?
Lookin' like an angel
But your savage love
But when you kiss me
I know you don't give two fucks
But I still want that
Your savage love
Your savage love-love-love
Your savage love-love-love
You could use me
Cos I still want that your savage

Baby I hope this ain't karma cos I get around
You wanna run it up, I wanna lock it down
Usually don't be fallin', be fallin' fallin' first
You gotta way of making me spend up all my cash

Every night and every day
I try to make you stay
But your

Savage love
Did somebody, did somebody
Break your heart?
Lookin' like an angel
But your savage love
But when you kiss me
I know you don't give two fucks
But I still want that
Your savage love
Your savage love-love-love
Your savage love-love-love
You could use me
Cos I still want that your savage love

Your savage love-love-love
Your savage love-love-love
You could use me
Baby

Savage love
Did somebody, did somebody
Break your heart?
Lookin' like an angel
But your savage love
But when you kiss me
I know you don't give two fucks
But I still want that
Your savage love (savage love)
Your savage love-love-love
Your savage love-love-love
You could use me
Cos I still want that your savage love

This is a love song but not your regular everyday song. Jason fell in love and was happy about it even though it was not a healthy relationship. When one finds love, he/she should keep it, do everything possible to make it last forever, fight if you have to. “You do not know what you have till you lose it”. Now I want to love, love like never before, treat my partner like and angel, get him/her everything they need and want just to make them happy. I will give this song a rating of 9/10

Factual research This song became United Kingdom’s number 1 song in only a few weeks. Savage- it was a vicious relationship up to the fact that he spent quite a lot. Could have been karma - he probably has done something like this to someone else in the past.

What Jason Derulo means He never wanted to love but then he met someone who made him change his mind; he fell in love so fast, then realized she didn’t love him but only wanted to use him to get back at her ex-lover. This did not trouble him because he had the “love of his” life with him. It was kind of a toxic relationship, but he did not mind anyway and he was okay with her using him to have fun. He tried everything humanly possible to please her and keep her happy.

In Jason Derulo’s “Savage Love” I feel like it can be looked at in different ways. I see the first verse as this person is head over heels in love with this girl. However, he finds out that she’s only with him because she wanted to get back at her ex-boyfriend. Towards the end of the verse he says, “I know she creepin' I feel it in the air” which I interpret as she is still seeing the ex because the singer can’t get her to stay with him. A lot of times in today’s culture we use the word savage to describe someone who is brutal. I think that’s exactly what he means when he calls her love savage. He knows she is only there to break another person’s heart but he doesn’t care because he loves her. I think in the second verse we see that she begins to take advantage of his love for her.

I think there’s a couple of things that make this song relatable. We all have been with or known someone who was using us for our love or for our money. I think Jason really hit home when he says “Every night and every day I try to make you stay but your savage love. Did somebody, did somebody break your heart?” The song hits on the point of view of being in love with someone who doesn’t feel the same. However, I think it also reminds us that the person that is breaking our heart was broken at some point too. I think the song overall is about a toxic relationship and how people stay in them even though they’re not getting any real love in return.

I think this song is important because in the dating scene today we see a lot of toxic traits in relationships. People say things like “I’m exclusive to you” meaning I’m still looking for someone, but I’ll stick with you for a while. Once these words are spoken, I feel like the other person is constantly trying to prove why they deserve your love. No one wants to be in a relationship where they are not loved back, but we continue to try to prove why we should be no matter the cost. This song sheds light on the pain it can cause when you use another person and the toxic traits that are created with it.

Jason Derulo’s Savage Love is alluring and the lyrics bring tears of pity and joy for the subject at hand. The guy tries to tell his story and the woman he loves but who does not love him back. He keeps repeating that he would welcome him back even if she is just using him to get back at her former lover.

To me, the story is an everyday life reality. Getting a heartbreak, trying to hurt each other in return is an experience every one person in five has undergone. Most of the time, we never let go and we keep trying to impress, go back and the repercussions are what Jason clearly depicts. ‘We start using one another.’

However, as the chorus goes, that isn’t always the case. Being ‘madly in love’ or what he calls ‘Savage Love’ opens your eyes to the lies and the cheats. It still blinds you to wanting the same person regardless of the knowledge that they are not into you! It’s a pity but it is life and I for one, are proud of the song and absolutely love it!

Jason Derulo has teamed up with TikTok sensation Jawsh 685 (Joshua Stylah) to make an explosive new track, “Savage Love”. The track is based on the beat from Jawsh 685’s viral track on TikTok, “Laxed(Siren Beat)”. While the track started out with Derulo using the beat without Jawsh 685’s permission, he has now been given official clearance to use the track by listing Jawsh 685 as the artist. The use of the viral TikTok beat has helped propel this song to epic heights and popularity and shows how using popular social media can help make a number one song. “Savage Love” is a song that shows how Derulo’s love interest is not treating him right, and he will continue to love her no matter what. “Savage Love” is an explosive example of how mixing social media trends with music can contribute to a hit song.

On May 11, 2020, Jason Durelo and Jawsh 685 collaborated to release a song titled “Savage Love.” The title of the song is another way of expressing a sour and toxic relationship between two people. The song is based on a relationship where the woman is only with her boyfriend to make her ex-lover jealous. “Savage Love” is a way to say that the love a woman is giving another man is hurtful and negative.

In the first verse of the song, Jason Durelo explains that his life was filled with emptiness before meeting his girlfriend. He emphasizes that he went on with his life thinking he would never find another woman to love again. As he continues to date and be with this woman, he realizes that she is only using him to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. In the last couple lines in the verse he says, “Usually I would never, would never even care” which means he doesn’t care that he is being used and can sense the hurt that his woman's ex-lover brought her. Even while knowing he is being used, he wants to give her everything she deserves and wants to make her feel loved.

“If I woke up without ya I don't know what I would do Thought I could be single forever 'til I met you Usually don't be fallin', be fallin', fallin' first You got a way of keeping me comin' back to back.”

And just like that, Jason Derulo does what great artists have done for centuries – he cuts through and goes straight to the core of what it means to be human. Art can touch us, and those moments are the most profound when we see ourselves reflected in the art we’re consuming. In ‘Savage Love,’ listeners see themselves reflected in the tranquil beats produced by Kiwi artist Jawsh 685 – their hopes, their dreams, their fears. As if Jason has a direct view of the collective id of our nation, and maybe even the entire world.

This is likely the chief reason why ‘Savage Love’ has become so popular with over 2.4 video posts made on the Chinese-owned datamining operation masquerading as a social networking app TikTok – that uncanny “I know exactly how you feel, Jason!” feeling everyone gets without question every time we hear him sing. The Jason Derulo-sanctioned TikTok dance is easy to learn and accessible to dancers of all abilities and body types, and for good reason. Like how we can see ourselves in his lyrics, we’re able to see others in these TikTok videos.

As we head even further into this age of uncertainty, art like ‘Savage Love’ can act as a temporary reprieve from the world. Whether your heartstrings are being pulled by Jason’s heavenly vocals or you’re grinding to Jawsh’s tranquil melodies, you’ll find in this song a way to leave our earthly troubles behind for a while, even if it’s only two minutes and fifty-one seconds. After all, is there anything more that can be asked of a musical artist?

Jason Derulo - Savage Love is such a light, fun, and upbeat song. It sets a nice vibe that makes you want to dance. The music video is also very intriguing to me because it's a one man show, which is such a nice change from the usual of having tons of girls half naked. I really enjoy the melody to this song, and his smooth dance moves in the music video. When it come to the lyrics I don't like the meaning behind them. It really is talking about toxic relationship where one person is a rebound and Derulo is expressing how he enjoys it. The dating scene out there is already a mess and this type of music is not reinforcing unhealthy relationships. The lyrics "you could use me" is the perfect example of how it's toxic. Overall I really enjoy listening to his voice and the beat of the song. The meaning behind the lyrics are not my favorite. However I usually listen to songs for their melody and energy they give off, and don't prioritize the lyrics. It's definitely a fun song and makes me want to get up and dance!
