The Piano Song Lyrics

In the advent of a great disaster
On the journey of life my dears
Should fate decide that I disappear

This is written for the faith you showed me
When the future was looking grim
To all the people who let me in...

To the family who loved and raised me
To the memory of those years
I dedicate this bouquet of tears

And to the friends who never asked for favours
For the favours they gave for free
To anybody who smiled at me - Oh...

Meet me sitting in the sun
I'm waiting for you now
When fate is on the phone
You take that ticket
One way out into the Sun
I'm looking for you still
Please stand and take a bow
I'm waiting for you
Waiting for you now...

When they finally pull-out-the-plug dears
In the evening of my days
There'll be a place in my heart always

We're sitting in a sea-side garden
Where cabbage and King sip-tea
To anyone who remembers me - Oh...

Meet me sitting in the sun
I'm waiting for you now
When fate is on the phone
You take that ticket
One way out into the Sun
I'm looking for you still
Please stand and take a bow
I'm waiting for you
Waiting for you now...

Cover art for The Piano Song lyrics by Freur

This is somebody who knows for certain he's going to die soon and addressing friends and family to come to him and let him speak his last goodbyes to them. what makes me say this are the lines "should fate decide that I disappear" and "when fate is the phone, you take that ticket"
