Oli Sykes (lead singer) says of the song (I'm paraphrasing) basically its about two people in a relationship both having negative (or nihilistic) outlooks on it. They're both pessimistic & are trying to get rid of their deeply rooted destructive thinking but have thus far been unsuccessful in their attempts to escape their own minds.
